More ways to earn publicity points

in

You may have noticed a new block to the left-hand side above the login/menu. This links to a form that can be used to invite friends to the Publicity Wheel, with each user registered earning you 20 publicity points.

Having new members sign up to the Publicity Wheel will help your site gain further exposure and traffic when featured. If you know anyone who has a website and would be interested in the Publicity Wheel, earn an extra 20 publicity points by inviting them today.

I do not feel comfortable giving out people email addresses. Can we tell them just to click the banner on our site? Do we get points for doing this if they join?

May I put the code on my other sites or do I have to register them?

Thanks for the comment CyberCell.

If you're concerned about email invites showing your email address, fear not as it will not be displayed. Requesting that people click on your banners is not encouraged at this time, but there will be other ways to earn additional points for signups without email in the future.

I am happy to be using your system. I hopes it helps me out. Thank you!

i think if you rotated several winners say up to 5 for each category.. things would really heat up around here...

Have to wait a whole other week to see if you win when there is only one slot can be very off putting.

Thanks for the suggestion jamiecarter.

There are a few developments in the pipeline that may be of interest to you. Right now, there aren't enough sites in each category to warrant multiple winners (otherwise this would just be another banner exchange system), but down the track there will be options for users who may not have won to get something back between spins. I won't go into too much detail now, but rest assured that these ideas are being considered.

Sounds interesting, but the site would be a lot more popular with webmasters if you had more than two ways of earning points! :P

Maybe some sort of "point multiplying" system could be developed, and people who pay a few bucks get a % increase in point earnings making it quicker to earn points. It would also help you keep funding for the site.

Thanks Teckie, there are plans to introduce more methods to earn points, but I can't announce any concrete details at this stage. Your suggestion is a good one, but i'm not sure whether it will discourage those who choose not to pay anything.

Thanks again for your comment and enjoy your stay :)
